Best album of 2010? in my opinion.... definitely yes! September 6, 2010 G. Seller I was a tad sceptical of this album when I purchased it just over 3 months ago
I thought to myself that they seemed like another new wave "topman" group (goes with the trend) that would be a bit fun but very short lived.
Happy to say...this album is the most played and most loved on my music library!
The maturity, depth, emotion, passion and just sheer talent that has gone into "sigh no more" is impressive
Stand out tracks include
- After the Storm: brilliant lyrics, great voice and amazing story being told
- Winter Winds: The flagship single of the album, great fun and always manages to put a smile on your face
- I Gave You All: builds up to a hugely emotional finish and you can tell it means something to Mr. Mumford.
Not on the album, but deserve to be are "liar" and "hold on to what you believe" - the fact that tracks like these didn't even make it onto the album give me great hope with what's to come from Mumford And Sons
If you are wondering weather you or not you should buy this, I would strongly advise you to stop wondering and buy the goddam album :)

SIMPLY STUNNING August 24, 2010 M. A. Bateman (Derby, UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I must have listened to this album over thirty times in the last two weeks. I'm simply amazed at it. Never before have I bought or listened to music like it, but I love it! It reaches deep down into one's heart and plucks the strings. It's cathartic. Songs to cry with as they touch deep pain. Songs to inspire and give hope. Songs which make you realise that you are not alone. With a thumping beat. Beautiful vocals, delightful banjos, deep double bases and guitars.. It's a delight. It's a joy. You simply must buy it, and listen whilst reading the lyrics. I defy you not to be deeply moved as you listen and reflect...
Mumford & Sons - Sigh No More CD August 23, 2010 Supermum I'm new to Mumford and Sons having only heard them on radio and seen them on TV a few times. The CD is really good. I listen to it a lot - mostly in the car. I look forward to them releasing another CD soon.
Absolutely brilliant August 20, 2010 R. Wood (meriden) What can i say about this album, apart from its a total breath of fresh air.The best thing is its not over produced and the more you listen to it,the better it gets.I hadnt heard of these when i first heard the album as i dont listen to the radio. This meant i hadnt heard which songs had been released.I dont find one weak track on the album and can say that first chance i get i want to see this lot live.
